Keukenhof Gardens Friday, April 20, 2012

Springtime is tulip heaven at Keukenhof gardens.

Keukenhof, Lisse, Netherlands is the largest bulb flower park in the world.

Imagine 7 million bulbs hand planted every year covering 64 acres in a rainbow of spectacular color. The gardens have won so many awards they are known as one of Europe’s most valued attractions. Even CNN reported Keukenhof to be one of the world’s top destinations in 2012. This year’s theme is Poland – Heart of Europe.

I imagined the park would be spectacular. However I was awestruck at the beautiful landscape of tulips, hyacinths and daffodils. The abundance of colors and fragrances was amazing. The park is stunning and dreamlike. It has to be the most photographed place in the world.

There are 15 km of walking paths and indoor conservatories hosting flower and art shows. The park is open 8:00 to 19:30 daily March 22, 2012 until May 20, 2012. Cost is 14.50 Euros.

Enjoy browsing through the pictures.

Amazing inspirational gardens!
